He “gifted” the family limo for the funeral procession, which was a beautiful gesture. he basically picked everything himself, within the allotted budget & the suggestions he received from his friends, the joneses. the director was disconnected & aloof and didn’t truly seem interested in hearing what preparations the johnson family wanted. the staff’s energy/demeanor/vibe was nonchalant & blasé and while i understand that desensitization develops over time, it’s important that the family feels heard & supported through their ordeal, as if their family is the only one that matters - at least during the appointment. i accompanied my family members to the funeral home to support them through the arrangement. the parent’s paramour & their family (call them the joneses) picked c&s to handle the arrangements because they know the owner. My family member lost their child unexpectedly (call us the johnsons). Today I can smile because my mother truly was honored like a queen! A memory of a lifetime was her getting CROWNED!
